The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the University of Ruhuna has initiated a research collaboration with the Southern Province Industrial
Development Authority (SPIDA) to jointly conduct innovative projects aimed at promoting industrial development and public health improvement in Sri Lanka.
Through this collaboration, initially, the University has secured a total funding of Rs. 1,250,000.00 allocated for the following research projects:
1. Nano-Encapsulated Products to Improve Public Health in Sri Lanka – Rs. 1,000,000.00
2. Development of Liquid Salt – Rs. 250,000.00
This partnership strengthens the ongoing efforts of the University of Ruhuna to translate research outcomes into impactful, market-ready
technologies that contribute to regional and national development.
Moreover, we are planning to continue with more 12 undergraduate projects from the Faculty of Technology through this collaboration.
