Senior Lecturer of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, and University of Ruhuna is the current Director for the Technology Transfer Office in the
University of Ruhuna. He was the founder Chairperson of the Technology Transfer Cell of the Faculty of Medicine and was able to initiate TTO activities in
the faculty.
He was graduated with MBBS in 2003 from the University of Ruhuna and has pioneered his studies by MPhil in Anatomy from University of Kelaniya and M.Sc. in Clinical Genetics from University of Colombo. He had training in Molecular, Cytogenetics and Clinical Genetics nationally and internationally. Furthermore, He had training on Genetic Counseling from Sanger Institute, Cambridge, United Kingdom. He is a member of International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation and had training sessions in Aichi Gakuin University, Nagoya Japan. He is the Fonder Secretary of the Human Genetics Society of Sri Lanka and participated many national and international forums as resource person and also contributed as a resource person to the Training Program of Clinical Genetics for Doctors. He was the founder member of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory and Genetic Clinic in the Department of Anatomy and now working as the Head of the Molecular Genetics laboratory and Genetic clinic and serving to the Southern Province as a Clinical Geneticist. He has presented his research finding in more than 30 national and international Conferences and won best presentation awards in several occasions and participated as an invited speaker for International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation conferences in three occasions to talk on Genetics of Cleft Lip and Palate in Sri Lanka. He has published more than 10 scholarly articles in national and international publications. Also he was the Orator for the Faculty of Medicine Annual Academic Sessions in 2018.
Other than The post of Director, Technology Transfer Office, University of Ruhuna, currently he is serving as Academic Career advisor, Academic sub warden and Student Counselor of Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna.

Sri Lanka. He completed his Ph.D. in Buddhist Philosophy at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He holds an M.A. in Buddhist Studies from the University of
Kelaniya and a B.A. Special Degree in Buddhist Philosophy with First Class Honours from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is also a holder of the Royal
Pandith qualification.
