MOU Signed Between the Faculty of Engineering and Global GIS (Pvt) Ltd

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on 10th June 2026 between the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna, and Global GIS (Pvt) Ltd. with the objective of strengthening collaboration in research and consultancy activities related to surveying and geospatial technology, electrical, civil, industrial and power engineering, as well as renewable energy technologies.

On behalf of the University of Ruhuna, Senior Professor P.A. Jayantha, Vice Chancellor, University of Ruhuna, Dr. Lahiru Prabodha, Director, Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), University of Ruhuna, Mrs. C. Senevirathne, Registrar, University of Ruhuna, and Dr. Sandun Konara, representing the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, signed the agreement. On behalf of Global GIS (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. D. Nishshanka De Silva, Managing Director and Director – Research & Development, signed the agreement.

KTTO Coordinators and representatives from the Faculty of Engineering also attended the ceremony held at the Old Senate Room, University of Ruhuna.
